Spain's Liux Geko Electric Vehicle Set to Revolutionise Urban Mobility

The International Mobility Portal Summit is currently underway, and one of the most anticipated announcements coming out of the event is the unveiling of the Liux Geko, a small and compact two-seater electric vehicle designed and manufactured in Spain.

The final prototype of this innovative lightweight urban model was presented at OK Mobility's headquarters in Palma de Mallorca, marking a significant collaboration between Liux and OK Group. This collaboration represents a crucial investment for both companies, with OK Group becoming the main investor in Liux, and the mobility platform committing to acquiring 5,000 units of the Geko over the next three years.

Antonio Espinosa, CEO of LIUX, described the new prototype as "a commitment to a new way of understanding urban mobility." The Geko, designed using highly sustainable materials, is set to begin production in the second half of 2025 in Spain.

The Geko boasts an extendable range of up to 230 km on a single charge, and its energy efficiency exceeds 13 km/kWh. These features, combined with its compact size, make it an ideal solution for navigating urban environments.

OK Group CEO and OK Mobility founder Othman Ktiri views the agreement between the companies as more than just providing vehicles. He stated, "This is about creating synergies to tackle new technological and sustainability challenges in mobility."

While the first person to invest in the electric vehicle startup Liux and who signed a contract in July to promote the project's economic success was not explicitly mentioned in the available search results, it is clear that this partnership is a significant step forward for both companies and the electric vehicle industry as a whole.

With a focus on entrepreneurship, mobility, and sustainability, OK Group is passionate about this partnership with Liux. The company has committed to acquiring 5,000 units of the Liux Geko over the next three years to offer them as rental vehicles through its global platform, OK Mobility.

The Liux Geko is designed with the aim of redefining 21st-century urban mobility, and it is expected to make a significant impact when it hits the roads in 2025. The International Mobility Portal Summit is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting journey for Liux and OK Group.
