This halt has affected the casting process, including the auditions of models-turned-actors like Gigi Hadid and Corey Mylchreest.
Hadid, who admitted that Disney was likely to go with a real singer for the role, took singing lessons during fashion month to prepare for the audition. She aimed to push herself out of her comfort zone, as she explained, "What do we do in this job anymore that scares us?"
Hadid auditioned for the role of Rapunzel, but it remains uncertain if Disney will move forward with the project or rethink it creatively. On the other hand, Mylchreest, known for his roles in 'My Oxford Year' and 'Queen Charlotte', also auditioned for the role of Flynn Rider.
