At Tierpark Fauna e.V., two new residents have made their home in a newly-built pigsty, while the marmosets enjoy the benefits of a new canopy designed to protect them from both rain and excessive sun exposure during summer.

The new pigsty was constructed to accommodate the two mini-pigs, who have recently joined the park's family. Due to their arrival, a suitable accommodation had to be built quickly. The Giossi Foundation played a significant role in the swift implementation of the new pigsty, ensuring the park could provide a comfortable living space for its new residents.

Meanwhile, the marmosets have a brand-new canopy in their enclosure, a significant improvement to their environment. Tobias Rische, the park's new operations manager and a trained carpenter, planned and implemented the canopy, demonstrating his commitment to the park's well-being. The canopy was funded as part of Tierpark Fauna e.V.'s renewal and beautification, a project supported by the Giossi Foundation this year.

The canopy in the marmoset enclosure is not specifically designed for any particular animal's protection from weather conditions. However, it was designed with the marmosets in mind, offering them a respite from the elements and enhancing their quality of life.

Mini-pigs, despite their name, require more space than one might think. The new pigsty, while not explicitly mentioned as part of the park's renewal and beautification, was built to provide these new residents with the space they need to thrive.

In the early days, the new pigs had to be kept separate from the park's two "old ladies." However, as they settle into their new home, they are sure to bring joy to visitors and enrich the park's community.

A cover photo shows Monika Toennies and Tobias Rische with the two friendly new pigs, embodying the park's dedication to its animals and visitors. As the park continues to grow and improve, visitors can look forward to more exciting additions and enhancements.
