Monster Stack Day 1b Kicks Off with 40,000 Starting Stacks
Day 1b of the Monster Stack event kicked off at 11 AM on Wednesday, with players starting with a 40,000 stack and 30-minute blinds. Late entry is allowed for the first 12 levels. The event is expected to attract 650-750 entries, bringing the total to around 1,100 players.
Mike Malm, who led Day 1a with a stack of over a million chips, is the current chip leader. Day 1a saw 487 entries and $152,675 in prizes, with 25 players advancing to Day 2 on Thursday. Curtis Singleton, winner of the January Monster Stack event for $62,505, is expected to participate in Day 1b. Players will continue until the end of Level 24 or until 5% of the field remains.
