In anticipation of Malaysia's 68th Merdeka celebration, Malaysia Airlines has announced a temporary revision to its flight schedule for flights departing from and arriving at KL International Airport (KLIA) between August 26 and August 31, 2025.

The airspace around KLIA will be closed daily from 8am to noon during this six-day period, resulting in the need to retime flights. This revision does not affect flights outside of the specified dates.

The airline has published the revised flight schedule on its website, which includes a list of affected flights by date. However, the total number of impacted services was not specified.

Passengers departing from KL International Airport (KLIA) during this period are advised to arrive four hours before their rescheduled departure time to ensure a smooth check-in process.

It is important to note that all passengers should have all required travel documents and verify entry and exit requirements through official channels before travelling.

The flight schedule revision is a temporary measure due to the airspace closure and is intended to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations during the celebratory period.

For the most up-to-date information on your flight, we recommend checking the Malaysia Airlines' website or contacting the airline directly.
