Motorcycle Rider Fatally Hit in Car Accident by Police Reports
In a tragic incident, a 63-year-old motorcyclist from Lower Saxony lost his life after a collision on state road 3196 near Steinau an der Straße. The incident occurred around 1:10 PM on Thursday afternoon.
The motorcyclist was the last rider in a group of bikers. According to reports, the motorcyclist lost control in a right curve shortly after leaving Steinau. As a result, the motorcyclist ended up on the opposite lane and collided with an oncoming Opel Corsa.
The driver of the Opel Corsa, a 28-year-old, sustained minor injuries and provided first aid until the arrival of the emergency services. A 30-year-old pregnant passenger in the Opel Corsa was taken to the hospital for further examination.
The motorcycle involved in the accident has been secured. The police in Schlüchtern are appealing for witnesses to the accident. Witnesses can contact the police on the number 06661 9610-0.
