On Saturday evening, a serious accident involving a motorcyclist and a car occurred in the Kreis Kleve area, near Goch. The incident took place at approximately 7:30 PM at the intersection of the B57 and B8 federal roads.

According to reports, a 57-year-old motorcyclist was struck by a car driven by an 83-year-old female from Goch. The elderly driver was operating a gray Skoda and attempted to make a left turn at the intersection of B504/Triftstraße.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, but unfortunately, suffered severe injuries as a result. The 83-year-old driver, however, was not injured in the collision.

Immediately following the accident, the B57 and B8 intersecting roads were closed for several hours while emergency services attended to the scene. The motorcyclist was airlifted to a specialized clinic in Düsseldorf for trauma care and emergency medicine.

The police are currently investigating the cause of the accident, but no charges or citations have been issued to the 83-year-old driver at this time. The name of the driver has not been publicly disclosed in the available sources.

Roads in the area reopened around 1:00 AM on Sunday morning. At the time of writing, there is no information available regarding the current status or condition of the 83-year-old driver.
