Motorway Accidents Occur in Main-Tauber-Kreis Area, Involving Polish-Hungarian Vehicles

A collision involving two vehicles occurred on the A81 near Großrinderfeld on Monday afternoon. The incident, which took place between the Tauberbischofsheim and Gerchsheim junctions, resulted in a complete closure of the section for approximately two hours due to scattered debris and the subsequent investigation.

The first vehicle involved was a Mercedes-Benz van, driven by a 21-year-old. The Mercedes-Benz veered off the road and collided with the central barrier, causing approximately €15,000 worth of damage. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for further examination.

Shortly after the initial collision, a second vehicle, a Fiat, also collided with the central barrier. The reason for the Fiat driver's collision is still under investigation. Both vehicles had to be towed away from the scene, with the Fiat coming to a stop about 50 meters behind the Mercedes-Benz.
