Kevin Spacey (66) made a surprise appearance at the 82nd International Film Festival in Venice, Italy, where he presented his new film, "Holiguards Saga - The Portal of Force." However, it's important to note that Spacey was not a part of any official event of the film festival.

The presentation took place at an event in the Hotel Cipriani, where the trailer for "Holiguards Saga" was also shown. The film, an indie project, marks Spacey's first directorial effort in over 20 years, following his debut in 2004 with the film "Beyond the Sea."

"Holiguards Saga - The Portal of Force" is an action-packed film that features a star-studded cast, including B-movie veterans Dolph Lundgren (67) and Eric Roberts (69), as well as "Fast & Furious" actor Tyrese Gibson (45). Spacey himself plays one of the lead roles in the film.

Behind the "Holiguards Saga" is Vladimir "Lado" Okhotnikov, a Russian crypto entrepreneur who was charged with fraud in 2023. The producer of the film, who is described as a controversial figure, is not named in the available sources.

Spacey's return to the silver screen comes after he was acquitted in two trials of sexual misconduct allegations made by over 30 men. However, he remains a persona non grata in Hollywood. Despite this, Spacey posed for photographers on the red carpet at the film festival in Venice.

It's worth mentioning that "Holiguards Saga - The Portal of Force" is Spacey's first film appearance since the sexual misconduct allegations. The film is set to be the first installment in a series called "Statiguards vs. Holiguards."

The film's presentation in Venice marks a significant comeback for Spacey, who has been trying to rebuild his career after the allegations. Whether this film will help him regain his former status in the industry remains to be seen.
