Multiple businesses gear up for involvement in the handmade goods sector
On Saturday, September 13, 2022, the Chamber of Crafts of Southern Thuringia invites everyone to explore the exciting world of craftsmanship at the "Handwerk all-in" event at the BTZ Rohr-Kloster education campus.
The day promises a variety of activities, live demonstrations, and opportunities to learn about over 70 training companies from the region. From 10 am to 4 pm, visitors can watch experienced craftspeople showcase their skills in various trades such as sawing and milling, painting and varnishing, baking and decorating, welding and wiring, among others.
Thuringia's Minister President Prof. Dr. Mario Voigt and HWK President Mike Kämmer will officially open the event, emphasising their commitment to inspiring Southern Thuringia's students, their families, and their friends for the craft and awakening interest in their personal careers.
After the official opening, open workshops will be available for interested parties, particularly for students in grades 7 to 11. Here, they can try their hand at various craft activities and gain practical insights into the world of craftsmanship.
Visitors can also take advantage of a master and further training consultation, where the HWK South Thuringia training advisors and mediators will be available to answer questions about training and provide helpful tips for starting a career.
In addition to the workshops and demonstrations, the event will feature live music, an attractive prize draw, exciting activity points, and several educational and entertaining performances. A visit to "Handwerk all-in" is possible without prior registration and is free of charge.
Parking facilities are available on and around the event site (Kloster 1, 98530 Rohr). Several catering stands will also be available, including a cake stall whose proceeds will benefit the Children's Hospice Middle Germany.
"Handwerk all-in" is the largest action and career day for crafts in Southern Thuringia, offering a unique opportunity for everyone, including parents, grandparents, friends, and acquaintances, to discover which craft profession suits them. Contacts or even holiday internships can be made at the event.
Cities or municipalities from the surrounding region are also participating in the event, but specific names are not yet available in the search results.
So, mark your calendars for September 13th and join us at the BTZ Rohr-Kloster education campus for a day filled with craftsmanship, learning, and fun!
