Munich's Federal Police Directorate apprehended an individual for allegedly illegally returning early

A 34-year-old Romanian man was arrested upon entering German territory on the A93 near Kiefersfelden on April 13, 2022. The Bundespolizeiinspektion Rosenheim, a German federal police unit primarily focused on cross-border crime between Chiemsee and Zugspitze, was responsible for the arrest.

The man was apprehended at the border control for violating German immigration laws, as he was banned from entering the country for six years. This ban was imposed following his early release from Bayreuth prison and subsequent deportation in September 2020 due to violations of the Narcotics Act, as ruled by the Nuremberg-Fürth Regional Court.

The man's return to Germany triggered the resumption of the remaining term of his original sentence, and he is expected to spend the next 239 days in Bernau Prison. No new information about his sentence or expected release date was provided.

The Bundespolizeiinspektion Rosenheim covers an approximately 200-kilometer section of the German-Austrian border and includes the Bundespolizeirevier Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The unit also ensures the safety of rail passengers and railway facilities on approximately 370 kilometers of track and at about 70 stations and stops.

The Bundespoliceiinspektion Rosenheim's work was not directly mentioned in the context of the Romanian man's arrest, but the organisation focuses on the smuggling of foreigners and irregular, illegal migration.
