The Hessian State Museum in Wiesbaden is set to host a new exhibition, with a significant collection of works by renowned artist Paula Modersohn-Becker taking centre stage. The exhibition, which will take place at the Museum Wiesbaden, will feature approximately 100 artworks from a private collection.

The collection, of considerable value to the museum, has been donated by collectors from Wiesbaden. Among the donors is a Wiesbaden patron who has testamentarily promised a portion of the collection to the Hessisches Landesmuseum Wiesbaden. The public presentation of the donation is scheduled for May 8, 2025, though the identity of the donor remains undisclosed.

The collection, which contains around 50 artworks, will be the centrepiece of the exhibition. The museum has decided to contextualise this high-profile collection with previous significant donations, providing visitors with a comprehensive understanding of the museum's growth and evolution.

The exhibition, set to begin on September 5, promises to be a fascinating exploration of Modersohn-Becker's artistic journey. The anonymous patron's generosity will undoubtedly enrich the museum's collection and provide a unique opportunity for the public to engage with these works.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting exhibition at Museum Wiesbaden.
