In a significant move for the Indian music industry, Warner Music India and Renzu Music have announced a distribution agreement. This partnership aims to bring the unique sounds of Kashmir to a global audience.

At the helm of Renzu Music is filmmaker Danish Renzu, who has built the label's reputation on discovering and developing talent from the Kashmir Valley. The roster includes established artists like Noor Mohammad, a folk legend, and emerging voices such as Zahra Banoo, Hyder Dar, Adam, Saqib Wani, Shivani Matyal, Bilal Tantray, Afaq Dar, Kafil Qureshie, Tasneef Bukhari, and Masrat Un Nissa.

Noor Mohammad collaborates with Rashmeet Kaur on "Ranjha" and with Shikha Joshi on "Maryo" under Renzu Music. Shikha finds the Indian fusion of Kashmiri folk with contemporary elements enriching, while IP Singh rounds out the featured releases with "Chingari."

The partnership has attracted endorsements from entertainment industry figures, including actor Saba Azad, who sees cultural significance in the collaboration. Actor Udit Arora, known for Netflix's "The Royals", has also collaborated on one of the label's Kashmiri tracks and is glad that the music from Kashmir is finally getting its well-deserved platform.

Under Renzu Music, music curation is combined with cinematic storytelling through music videos. The agreement provides Renzu Music with access to one of India's leading music distribution networks, courtesy of Warner Music India.

Danish Renzu has expressed gratitude towards Vaibhav Nagpal, head of partner relations, acquisition, and distribution at Warner Music India, for their faith in the label. The partnership between Renzu Music and Warner Music India supports a roster of both established and emerging voices in the music industry.

This collaboration represents an opportunity to blend traditional and contemporary approaches in music, creating a unique sound that showcases the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir. With this partnership, the world can look forward to hearing more from the talented artists under Renzu Music.
