Navigational warning issued following significant crash in Reisterstown, leaving multiple casualties
In Baltimore County, a multi-vehicle collision took place on Saturday evening at around 8:10 p.m. The incident occurred on I-795 at Westminister Pike, involving a Carroll County ambulance and a tractor-trailer.
The crash occurred while the ambulance was responding to a call in Baltimore County. Unfortunately, several victims were injured in the crash, and Baltimore County Police have advised avoiding the area as they investigate the incident.
The tractor-trailer was transporting fuel, but no leak from the container had been detected. The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 59-year-old man, remained uninjured in the accident.
Baltimore County Police, the Baltimore County Crash Team, and Maryland State Police were all on the scene, with the latter requested due to the reported injuries. MSP helicopters flew two of the victims to nearby hospitals.
Several others were treated on the scene and taken to hospitals by ambulance, but no further information is provided about their condition. Baltimore County Police are currently investigating the incident and ask that the public avoid the area until further notice.
