"New and returned cast members announced for 'Alice In Borderland' season three"
The much-anticipated third season of the popular Japanese sci-fi thriller, "Alice in Borderland," is set to premiere on Netflix this month. The show, which is based in a parallel version of Tokyo, has become the most-watched Japanese title on Netflix's platform history, just four days after season two was released in 2022.
Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya will reprise their roles as Ryōhei Arisu and Yuzuha Usagi, respectively, in the new episodes. Since their return to the real world at the end of season two, Arisu and Usagi's lives have been falling apart. Along with Yamazaki and Tsuchiya, Nijiro Murakami, Ayaka Miyoshi, Dori Sakurada, and Aya Asahina are expected to return as Shuntarō Chishiya, Ann Rizuna, Suguru Niragi, and Hikari Kuina, respectively.
New actors joining the cast include Kento Kaku, who plays the role of the afterlife researcher Ryuji, potentially important for the story. Kotaro Daigo, Hyunri, Sakura Kiryu, Yugo Mikawa, Joey Iwanaga, Akana Ikeda, and Kaku are also joining the cast. Hayato Isomura, Katsuya Maiguma, Koji Ohkura, Risa Sudou, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi, and Tina Tamashiro are new cast members for the third season.
The teaser for the new season was released in June, and all six episodes of the new season are expected to land on Netflix on September 25. Fans of the show will find out more about the third season in the coming weeks.
