Hamburg Invest Launches New Application Round for Scaleup Landing Pad Hamburg
Hamburg, Germany - Hamburg Invest, the central partner for economic development in the city, has announced a new application round for the Scaleup Landing Pad Hamburg. The initiative, which was launched in 2022 at the request of the Hamburg Authority for Economic Affairs and Innovation, is targeted at international greentech scaleups in the mobility, logistics, energy, and construction sectors.
Rolf Strittmatter, CEO of Hamburg Invest, emphasises the city's suitability for scaling green technologies. "Hamburg is uniquely positioned to support the growth of greentech startups," he says. "With our rich industrial heritage and a strong focus on sustainability, we offer an ideal environment for these innovative companies."
The Scaleup Landing Pad Hamburg plays a significant role in bringing young companies with innovative solutions for climate change challenges to the city. According to Melanie Leonhard, Hamburg's Minister of Economics, "The Scaleup Landing Pad Hamburg is an important step in our efforts to attract and support greentech startups, and we are excited to see the applications for this new round."
Admission and onboarding for the Scaleup Landing Pad Hamburg will begin in May of 2024. To be selected, scaleups must demonstrate their business success in their home market, be in a strong growth phase, and intend to establish themselves in the local Hamburg ecosystem.
Technology and knowledge-based startups find a central point of contact at Hamburg Invest, including through the Startup Unit and the Startup City Hamburg. The Startup City Hamburg is part of the services offered by Hamburg Invest to these startups.
