Ador, a music label under the umbrella of Hybe, has announced the appointment of Lee Do-kyong as its new CEO. This change in leadership marks a shift towards reinforcing Ador's role in planning and managing artists' music and performances, as well as extending fan experiences across cities where concerts are held.

Lee Do-kyong joined Hybe (formerly Big Hit Entertainment) in 2019, starting his career within the IPX division. In 2022, he took charge of this division, overseeing merchandising operations, including pop-up stores and light stick operations. The IPX division develops artist IP-based businesses such as merchandising, licensing, and fan experiences.

Under Lee Do-kyong's leadership, the IPX division has been instrumental in shaping corporate vision, business strategy, and new ventures at Hybe. One of his notable projects was "The City," an initiative aimed at extending fan experiences across entire cities where Hybe artist concerts were being held.

Lee Do-kyong is replacing Kim Ju-young, who served as CEO of Ador for only one year. Kim Ju-young was a former HR executive. The predecessor of Lee Do-kyong as CEO of Ador was Park Chan-kyu.

The appointment of Lee Do-kyong comes amidst a contractual dispute between Ador and the girl group NewJeans, who are currently managed by the label. Ador also recently launched the "2025 Ador Boys Global Audition" to recruit members for a next-generation boy band.

It's worth noting that Min Hee-jin, the founding head of Ador, is currently in a legal dispute with Hybe over stock options. Min Hee-jin was ousted from Ador, but the reason for his ouster is not specified in this paragraph.

Under Lee Do-kyong's leadership, Ador has built a more agile structure to support its roster. The new CEO's focus on artist management and fan experiences is expected to bring fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to the label.

This change in leadership at Ador is a significant move for Hybe, reflecting the company's commitment to its music labels and the continued growth of the K-pop industry.
