New association promoting local goods aims to boost regional visibility
The district of Regensburg is set to benefit from a new regional management project, known as "Dachmarke Region Regensburg," which commences on 1st June 2024 and runs until 31st May 2027. This initiative is supported by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economy, Regional Development and Energy.
The project aims to strengthen regional structures and promote exchange along the value chain. It will bring together production, processing, trade, gastronomy, and consumers in the Regensburg region. The association's goal is not just to market regional products but also to value them throughout the entire value chain.
The new association, being established as a stable foundation, has its roots in initial proposals for structure and statutes, developed in collaboration with initiators Doris Luttner and Anna Ramsauer. Numerous actors have expressed their willingness to actively engage in the association.
Planned measures include joint events, public relations, and new formats for presenting regional delicacies. The association also benefits from the project "Ganz Große Küche! Regional.Bio.Regensburg," which opens up new sales channels for smaller businesses and niche products through innovative approaches.
Interested parties are welcome to join the association and can register at www.landkreis-regensburg.de/Regionalmanagement. Intensive work on structure, statutes, public relations, and financing will be done in theme-specific working groups in August.
The official founding of the association is scheduled for autumn 2025. For inquiries, please contact the Regensburg County Administration - Regional Management at [email protected]. The association plans to make regional products more visible to the public, thereby increasing their appeal and supporting local businesses.
This cooperative project is being implemented within the framework of regional management funding, and it is expected to contribute significantly to the regional economy and cultural identity of Regensburg.
