Chinese bus manufacturer Yutong has made a significant mark in the Pakistani market, announcing the debut of four flagship bus models – the H9, H12, E9, and E12PRO – and an upgraded service brand, EnRoute+.

The new buses, designed specifically to operate in Pakistan's local climate, come equipped with a host of features to ensure their effectiveness in the country's unique conditions.

Each of the new buses from Yutong is fitted with all-electric heating/cooling air conditioning systems and battery systems that integrate liquid cooling. This adaptation aims to cater to the hot summers in Pakistan, ensuring a comfortable journey for passengers.

The E9 and E12PRO models, in particular, have a mud protection and anti-condensation design within the traction motor. This feature is designed to reduce waterlogging during the rainy season, a common challenge in many parts of Pakistan.

An air curtain above the passenger door blocks outside heat from entering during boarding, another thoughtful design feature that addresses the country's hot climate.

Yutong's commitment to the sustainable development of Pakistan's public transportation is evident in their use of industry-leading core technology and the upgraded EnRoute+ services. The new energy flagship models have been designed with these principles in mind.

Since entering the Pakistani market in 2008, Yutong has delivered over 3,000 buses, including fuel, hybrid, and battery electric models. This impressive figure includes a recent 400-vehicle electric bus deal with local operator WIL, marking the largest single order of new energy buses in Pakistan.

The launch event was graced by esteemed guests such as The Minister for Transport & Masstransit Department of Punjab in Pakistan, Deputy Consul General of Chinese Consulate General in Lahore, CEO of Yutong Bus Middle East, Wah Industries Limited Executive, CEO of Punjab Transport Company, and the Chairman of Punjab Mass transit Authority.

With Yutong's latest offerings, the company continues to solidify its position in the Pakistani market, having captured over 70% of the premium segments. The new buses, with their innovative features and adaptations, are poised to revolutionise public transportation in Pakistan, making journeys more comfortable and sustainable for all.
