New development in the works for Harz region: planned tourist attraction
In the heart of Clausthal-Zellerfeld, a small town nestled in the picturesque Harz region, a new attraction is set to emerge. Malte Hahne, a local resident, has announced plans to reopen the old minigolf course, giving the community a fresh recreational option.
The minigolf course, named "Bergwerk Minigolf CLZ", will be located at Marktstraße 13. With a focus on accessibility and inclusivity, the course is designed to cater to all age groups, both locals and tourists alike.
Malte's inspiration for this project stems from the repeated complaints about the lack of activities in the town. He aims to address this issue by creating a unique minigolf course that incorporates the rich history of the Harz. Each themed hole will tell a story about the region in a playful way, with 18 holes representing different aspects of the Harz, including mining in Clausthal-Zellerfeld and the Brocken.
The minigolf course will offer more than just a game. Refreshments will be available at a fully stocked kiosk, providing snacks and drinks for players. Special events are also planned, such as Walpurgis golfing, Advent golfing, and Halloween golfing, to add a festive touch.
Malte is currently seeking sponsors for the implementation of the minigolf course. While he has had initial talks with two local companies, the specific names of the companies involved in sponsorship discussions are not yet disclosed. He is also looking for assistance in the creative design of the course, specifically someone with a 3D printer.
Malte hopes to have the minigolf course ready by the end of the year, although he admits that this is not certain. He is receiving a lot of support for the project on Facebook, with many locals expressing their excitement and enthusiasm for the revival of the minigolf course.
