With a career spanning over 15 years in the autonomous and AI fields, Major brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Prior to joining Motional as the Chief Technology Officer since its launch in August 2020, she worked at Draper Laboratory and Aria Insights.
In her role as CTO, Major led the engineering team in developing and creating Motional's machine learning-driven software stack. Her expertise in building fully driverless systems and realizing the latest AI breakthroughs is evident in her work.
Major's vision for Motional is clear. She is confident in the company's ability to unlock a future where safe autonomous vehicles are a practical part of daily life. As she takes the helm, she will lead Motional as it works with Hyundai and Aptiv to launch a driverless commercial ride-hailing service in 2026.
