New Tower to Debut at M Resort by Penn Entertainment in December
Penn Entertainment, a leading name in the gaming and hospitality industry, has unveiled an ambitious $850 million investment plan, set to transform several of its properties across the United States.
One of the most anticipated developments is the expansion of the M Resort in Henderson, Nevada, which is set to open on December 1 following a $206 million expansion. The new tower will add 384 rooms to the resort, nearly doubling its total capacity to 765 rooms. A central focus point of this expansion will be the opening of Meril, a second location of Chef Emeril Lagasse's eponymous restaurant.
Meril offers a refined yet accessible dining experience that showcases Lagasse's signature style and is influenced by his decades of culinary experience and global travels. This will mark a significant return for Lagasse to the Las Vegas scene, as his previous restaurants Table 10 and Lagasse Stadium closed in 2017 and 2020, respectively.
However, Lagasse's current presence in Las Vegas remains strong, with two other restaurants under his name: Emeril's New Orleans Fish House at the MGM Grand and Delmonico Steakhouse at The Venetian.
Penn Entertainment's CEO and president, Jay Snowden, expressed his excitement about the company's latest development, stating, "The expanded amenities and the successful partnership with the Las Vegas Raiders will solidify M Resort's position as a premier destination."
The M Resort expansion is not the only project on Penn Entertainment's agenda. The company also plans to open a new hotel next to the Hollywood Casino in Columbus, Ohio, and a new land-based Hollywood Casino in Aurora, Illinois, both expected to launch in the latter half of 2025 and the first half of 2026, respectively.
Penn Entertainment is also securing $150 million in funding during the fourth quarter from Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc., at a 7.79% capitalization rate.
This four-project growth plan from Penn Entertainment represents a significant stride in the company's continued expansion and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to its visitors.
