New Version of Citroen Aircross Set for Imminent Release
The Citroen Aircross is set for a significant upgrade, as the French automaker announces the inclusion of the brand's latest in-car assistant, 'Cara', in the vehicle. This update is part of Citroen's new 'Shift' strategy, aimed at bringing new features and an improved cabin experience across its range.
While the exterior of the Aircross remains unchanged, expect a host of upgrades. The car will retain its current engine and transmission choices, but will see improvements in its interior, inspired by the new Citroen Basalt X. The Aircross will not feature a new dashboard design, unlike the Basalt X, but will incorporate redesigned dashboard elements, new materials, and advanced infotainment features.
The Basalt X, recently introduced in the market, boasts a host of new features. These include ventilated front seats, cruise control with speed limiter, proximity sensor with keyless entry, push-button start/stop, LED projector headlamps, and fog lights. The Basalt X's seats and door pads are upholstered in leatherette, but the Aircross will not follow this trend, maintaining its current upholstery.
The Aircross will also inherit the ability to make conversations, such as for places, and ask complex questions, a feature borrowed from the Basalt X. Notably, Citroen India introduced the updated C3X last month, marking a series of updates from the brand.
As for the infotainment system, the Basalt X showcases a new 10.2-inch touchscreen unit and a 7-inch digital console. While the Aircross will not receive a new dashboard design, it is likely to feature a 360-degree camera as an accessory, enhancing the driving experience.
The updated Citroen Aircross is currently in development and is expected to arrive sometime next month, offering a host of improvements without significant changes to its exterior. With the addition of the 'Cara' in-car assistant, the Aircross is set to offer a more connected and convenient driving experience.
