New Winter Vehicle Innovation in 2025: Cutting-edge Cooling Technology for Vehicles Unveiled

The Nufam event is set to take place at the dm-Arena, with a host of exciting exhibits lined up. One of the key attractions is Winter Refrigerated Vehicles, located at Hall 1, Stand D103, showcasing a Ford E-Transit Custom with an electric refrigeration unit.

At the heart of the event is Winter Vehicle Technology, which has curated the Nufam event to feature innovative solutions for temperature-controlled transport this winter. Among the highlights is a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, fitted with a refrigeration system integrated into the vehicle's body. This design eliminates the need for a roof-mounted unit, offering a sleek and efficient solution for refrigerated transport.

Artus will also be present, offering insurance solutions for commercial vehicles, while Schwarzmüller will present cost-saving measures against costs and empty runs.

The refrigeration system in the Sprinter is powered by a dedicated machine in combination with engine-driven power (N63) and can maintain cargo temperatures as low as 0°C. On the other hand, the electric refrigeration unit in the Ford E-Transit Custom is ATP-certified and achieves a U-value of 0.573 W/m²K. Both vehicles are equipped with advanced cooling solutions, tailored for refrigerated transport and specialized temperature control systems.

Manufacturers of these integrated cooling systems include BorgWarner Inc., the SOGEFI Group, and Dana Limited, who focus on battery cooling plates for electric vehicles. Winter Vehicle Technology and Winter Refrigerated Vehicles will showcase vehicles equipped with these solutions.

The Ford E-Transit Custom with an electric refrigeration unit comes with standard features such as stand-alone refrigeration and a 230-volt power outlet. The refrigeration system is powered directly by the standard battery, eliminating the need for additional batteries and extra weight.

In addition to these, the Nufam event will feature a variety of events related to trailers, digital solutions, transport, and temperature-controlled transport. These include Trailers and Truck Superstructures, Apps and Software (Other), Artificial Intelligence (AI), IAA New Mobility World, Last Mile, Bus Tests, and more.

The exact location of the Nufam event remains unspecified, but it promises to be a must-attend event for anyone interested in the latest developments in temperature-controlled transport. Don't miss out on the opportunity to witness these innovative solutions in action!
