Calvin Klein's Manhattan Penthouse Sells for Over Three Million Dollars
Fashion designer Calvin Klein's penthouse in Manhattan has found a new owner, with the sale price exceeding three million dollars. The property, located in the Chelsea Gallery District, was sold through the real estate company Engel & Völkers, but the identity of the buyer remains undisclosed.
The 307 square meter penthouse, situated on the 18th floor of the Chelsea Arts Tower, boasts three-meter-high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and a 39 square meter terrace offering breathtaking views of the Hudson River, Hudson Yards, and the Manhattan skyline.
Designed by architect Richard Gluckman in 2006, the penthouse reflects Calvin Klein's signature aesthetic of simplicity and elegance. Polished concrete floors, a characteristic feature of the space, add to its minimalist charm.
Calvin Klein, co-founder of Calvin Klein, Inc. along with Barry K. Schwartz in 1968, has had a successful career in fashion. He received the Coty Award in the 1970s and was honoured with the CFDA Fashion Award for his lifetime achievement in 2001.
The penthouse includes a spacious work area, a reception, and a kitchen. One of the most notable features is a 7.3-meter-long metal conference table, which was brought into the penthouse with the help of a crane.
The sale of Calvin Klein's penthouse marks another milestone in the designer's illustrious career. Although the exact sale price remains undisclosed, it is known that it surpassed the three million dollar mark.
