Newly constructed Kronsrode area's Kattenbrookstrip showcases brand of building materials at Hannover's FW site
The Hannover Fire Department successfully extinguished a fire involving construction materials in the Kronsrode new development area on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report provided by Feuerwehr Hannover and transmitted via news aktuell, the fire broke out around 3:00 PM. Upon arrival, first responders found no immediate need for an additional fire squad as the implemented firefighting measures were successful. However, due to the potential spread of the fire and significant smoke development, an additional fire squad was dispatched.
A total of 34 personnel and 11 vehicles were involved in the firefighting efforts. The fire spread to burning construction materials in an area cordoned off with construction fences, with most of the burning materials being plastic.
During the follow-up operations, the stairwells of nearby residential buildings were checked for smoke. The operation for the Hannover firefighters concluded at 4:00 PM.
The police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the fire, and no immediate statements can be made about the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
