Newport Car Barn will host a festive event on September 27, known as Point/Arc Fest, showing a celebration themed 'From Nashville to Newport'.

On Saturday, September 27, 2023, the community of Newport, Kentucky, will come together for an exciting event - the Point/Arc Point-Fest. This fundraiser, previously known as Boots 'n Brews, is hosted by The Point/Arc, a 53-year-old Covington-based non-profit agency that provides services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The event will take place at The Newport Car Barn, located at 1102 Brighton Street, and will run from 4 p.m. to midnight. This will be the third year The Newport Car Barn hosts a music event for The Point/Arc.

Seven artists, including Kyndal Inskeep, Gracie Carol, Eli Winders, Grace Serene, Chace Saunders, Jay Jackson, and Cam G & The Tasty Soul, will perform multi-genre sets, promising a festival/concert feel that sets it apart from other events. John Lawrie, one of the artists, suggested the theme "Nashville to Newport" for this year's event, which coincides with the name change.

The admission fee for those aged 18 and above is $50, and includes free valet. Tickets can be purchased at 859-491-9191 Ext. 110 or on the website thepointarc.org/events.

WUBE, B-105 (105.1 FM) - radio's country giant, is the media sponsor for the event.

Judi Gerding, Founder and President of The Point/Arc, emphasizes the importance of sponsors for their events. This year, the main donors include Granite World, Hilltop Companies, Maile Tekulve & Gray, Bilz Insurance, Auto-Owners, and Vivitec.

The Point/Arc was founded by a group of parents in 1969 with a mission to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve their highest potential. The funds raised from events like Point/Arc Point-Fest directly contribute to this mission.

Food and drinks will be available at the event, making it a fun afternoon/evening for the entire community. So, mark your calendars for September 27 and join us for a night of music, dancing, and supporting a worthy cause.
