Nikon Zf Silver Edition's retro renaissance: compatible SmallRig accouterments unveiled

In the world of photography and filmmaking, visual storytelling is a powerful tool that captivates audiences and fosters a deeper appreciation for the art form. One individual who embodies this skill is Kalum Carter, a photographer, filmmaker, creative director, writer, and curator with over a decade of experience.

Kalum's work showcases the impact of photography, and he has made a name for himself by interviewing industry professionals, showcasing emerging talent, and offering in-depth analyses of the art form. His focus on photography books, curation, and photo editing has made him a respected figure in the industry.

As for equipment, SmallRig has recently announced new L-Shape handles designed specifically for the Nikon Zf. These handles attach tool-free with a simple D-ring screw, providing a seamless transition from handheld shooting to tripod setups thanks to the integrated Arca-Swiss base plate.

The handles are available in two versions: silicone and wooden. The silicone version is priced at $39.99 / £36.90 / AU $62.90, while the wooden edition retails for $46.99 / £42.90 / AU $73.90. The handles are expected to ship starting September 19 in most regions, with a U.S. release following on October 10.

The announcement of these handles comes as the Nikon Zf is compared to other retro cameras like the Nikon Z fc, OM System OM-3, and Fujifilm XT-5. The silver base plate of the handles matches the camera body of the Nikon Zf, making for a sleek and cohesive look.

SmallRig's full cage design, which works in tandem with the grip and base plate, offers more expansion options for photographers and filmmakers. This addition to the Nikon Zf's accessory lineup is sure to excite visual storytellers like Kalum Carter, who continue to push the boundaries of their craft.
