Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Unveils a Trove of Classic Games
Nintendo has announced an exciting expansion to its Nintendo Switch Online service, offering members access to a library of Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, and SEGA Genesis classics. The latest update brings three Super Mario games to the platform, including enhanced versions of fan-favourites like Super Mario Advance 1, 2, 3, and 4, as well as Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.
Super Mario Advance: A Journey Through Time
Super Mario Advance is an enhanced version of the Game Boy Advance system game, Super Mario Bros. 2. In Super Mario Advance 1, players help Mario and Luigi free the mysterious land of Subcon from the clutches of the evil Wart. Super Mario Advance 2, which is actually a remake of the original Super NES game Super Mario World, sees Mario and Luigi up against Bowser and his crew of cranky Koopalings who have taken over Dinosaur Land. Yoshi's IslandTM: Super Mario Advance 3, a re-release from the Super NES classic, finds Yoshi carrying Baby Mario through enormous, colorful worlds, while keeping Kamek's goons and devious traps at bay.
Classic Arcade Action
The update also includes the original arcade classic, Mario Bros., marking Mario and Luigi's first arcade appearance together. This timeless game, which is also featured in Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, challenges players to defeat a series of enemies by jumping on them or using their own heads as trampolines.
