No new cases of infection reported at Maria Peace
In Rhein-Kreis Neuss, the number of COVID-19 related deaths remains unchanged at 23, as reported by the latest updates.
The district has seen a surge in new infections, with 95 new cases confirmed in the past week. This brings the total number of active cases to 132, with 32 in Neuss, 13 in Jüchen, 12 in Grevenbroich, 10 in Dormagen, 9 in Kaarst, 8 in Meerbusch, 7 in Korschenbroich, and 4 in Rommerskirchen.
A concern has arisen in the municipal high school in Meerbusch, where 18 teachers are currently under quarantine. The health department recommended this measure due to contact with a teacher and a staff member who tested positive for COVID-19.
At the MariaFrieden retirement home in Jüchen, 12 residents and 4 employees have previously tested positive for the virus. Test results for 3 residents and 6 employees are still pending. However, it's worth noting that 71 residents and 86 employees have tested negative.
The value of new COVID-19 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days is 18.2. If this reaches 50, further mandatory measures may be expected. In the past week, 20 new cases were registered in Rhein-Kreis Neuss, but specific names or exact places of residence within the district were not disclosed.
On a positive note, a total of 953 individuals have recovered from COVID-19 throughout Rhein-Kreis Neuss.
