Off-road beast, Acer Predator Extreme eScooter, boasts a sturdy and forward-leaning design

The Acer Predator Extreme PES017 is an off-road electric scooter that pushes the boundaries with its unique design and impressive features. This scooter, reminiscent of a mini motorcycle or a jetski, is a standout in the electric scooter market.

One of the key selling points of the Acer Predator Extreme is its ability to handle steep inclines, thanks to its 350W motor. This motor provides enough torque to tackle inclines of up to 18%, making it a suitable choice for challenging terrains. However, its top speed is restricted to 15mph, which might be a trade-off for the extra power.

The scooter's forward-facing design is another feature that sets it apart. This design not only gives it an attractive, motorbike-like appearance but also offers more suspension for a smoother ride on uneven terrain, making it better suited for off-road use. The handlebars, while featuring basic elements such as a bell, brakes, grips, and a monotone LED display, are somewhat dated.

Riding the Acer Predator Extreme might take some getting used to due to the power delivery delay and the forward-facing design. The main body of the scooter, with its metal frame and exposed suspension, has an expensive and rugged feel. The main power button, serving as a main kill switch, is located on the body of the scooter.

The assembly process for the Acer Predator Extreme is straightforward, taking less than 30 minutes. This includes attaching the kickstand and footplates. The battery can be removed for charging separately, which is a convenient feature.

The scooter offers a range of 32km or 20 miles, depending on the terrain and usage. As for pricing, the Acer Predator Extreme is priced at €1200 in Europe, approximately £1050 or $1400. Unfortunately, specific pricing details are not available for the scooter in Germany, Europe, or the USA at this time.

While the Acer Predator Extreme PES017 offers an impressive array of features, its full potential is currently limited, especially in the UK. For regular road and commuting use, the Segway Max G3 might be a better choice, but it wouldn't compete off-road. Nevertheless, the Acer Predator Extreme is a compelling option for those seeking a powerful, off-road electric scooter with a unique design.
