Officers confirm car was taken illicitly
On August 30, 2025, a shocking incident occurred on Martfelder Weg when a male suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, smashed a side window of a Mazda car and made off with a handbag from the vehicle. Witnesses immediately informed the police, leading to an immediate search in the area.
The Ennepe-Ruhr District Police Headquarters, located at Strückerberger Straße 32, 58256 Ennepetal, took the lead in the investigations. In a significant development, an arrest was made of a 31-year-old suspect from Schwelm. However, the other suspect, believed to be a 36-year-old from Dortmund, managed to escape along with the female suspect, who was observed in the vicinity during the crime.
