One individual faces criminal charges, while a warrant has been issued for another, in connection to an arson incident at an Edmonton playground.
In the small town of Ontario, Canada, a tragic incident occurred at St. Pius X School on July 12. The playground at the school was set ablaze, resulting in most of the equipment being destroyed.
Two individuals, Rayden Bigstone and Darius Bigstone, have been charged in connection with the fire. Rayden Bigstone, aged 20, has been arrested and charged with arson causing damage to property. Darius Bigstone, the individual for whom a province-wide warrant has been issued, faces the same charges.
Edmonton Catholic Schools are working closely with their insurance provider to replace the damaged playground. However, the playground remains closed since the fire on July 12.
The charges against both individuals are in relation to the playground fire at St. Pius X School. The Edmonton Police Service is actively seeking information about Darius Bigstone's whereabouts. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Edmonton Police Service at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
As of now, no new location information for Darius Bigstone has been provided. The community is hopeful that the responsible parties will be brought to justice, and the playground will be restored for the children to enjoy once again.
