Online availability of the Autumn-Winter training schedule for the Youth Training Centre
The Youth Education Institute of the University City of Gießen has announced an extensive Autumn-Winter Program, offering over 56 events for young trainees, workers, students, and other interested parties up to the age of 26. The program aims to provide new experiences, learning opportunities, and social interaction.
The series "Remember, warn, be vigilant" forms a significant part of the program. It includes a city walk "Historical everyday traces of Jews and Jews in Gießen", a reading "The boy with the mouth harmonica: From the ghetto Theresienstadt to freedom by train", and an information event "TikTok and Anti-Semitism". The program also features an information session on "Music on TikTok".
Further training in addiction and violence prevention, sexual education, democracy promotion, and flip chart presentations can be found in the program. New activities include top rope climbing, screen printing, studio recording, and the municipal election 2026. Proven offerings such as football seminars, pottery, self-assertion for girls and boys, and 3D printing are also included.
The Juleica training and the professional educational leave "Leadership and Management in Social Institutions" are part of the program. The Youth Education Institute is a recognized provider of educational leave, and one such opportunity is the "Make it happen! - Green City Copenhagen" expedition to explore the Danish capital.
The 3rd Gießen Youth Congress is another highlight of the program. The offers in the Autumn-Winter Program are low-cost to free.
Councilwoman Frau Weigel-Greilich emphasizes that the offers enable young people to gain new experiences, learn about current topics, or spend time together. The program will be available online from August 18, 2025, at www.jbw-our website.
