The Gorkha Municipality has announced a vacancy for the position of Executive Officer at its Water and Sanitation Management Board. The deadline for submission of applications is 7 days from the date of this publication in the Gorkhapatra daily.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be Nepali citizens, aged between 25 and 45 years, and hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering related to water supply and sanitation, or an equivalent degree recognized by an accredited institution, registered with the Nepal Engineering Council. Candidates must also have at least two years of work experience in the field of water supply and sanitation.

Application Requirements

Applicants are required to submit a self-declaration form as per Schedule 2 of the 2081 Procedure, confirming their eligibility. A copy of the Nepali citizenship certificate, experience certificates indicating position and duration at each level, academic certificates (with equivalency certificate for foreign degrees), and a bio-data with qualifications, experience, and contact details are also necessary. Two recent passport-size photographs and a certified copy of all required documents must be attached with the application.

Submission Details

Applications should be submitted to the Gorkha Municipality, Office of the Municipal Executive, Gorkha. Detailed information on the evaluation and selection procedure can be obtained from the official website of the Gorkha Municipality Office.

Important Notes

The selection process will follow the procedure outlined in Schedule 1 of the "Meeting and Selection Procedure of the Recommendation Committee for Appointment," 2081. Candidates must not be disqualified as per Sub-section (3) of Section 11 of the Act and other prevailing laws. A professional work plan (max. 5000 words in Nepali on A4 paper) must be submitted, including an analysis of the current water and sanitation situation, SWOT analysis, strategic plan, and proposal.

The position of Executive Officer at the Gorkha Municipality Water and Sanitation Management Board before the current announcement was held by Ram Bahadur Thapa. The appointment will be made in accordance with Section 12 of the Water Supply and Sanitation Act, 2050.
