Ornate Snowflake Decorations Made from Glittering Materials
In a delightful display of creativity and festive spirit, a group of girls embarked on a crafting journey to create their very own glitter snowflake ornaments. The process, as detailed below, was both fun and rewarding, resulting in ornaments that caught the lights and added a touch of sparkle to their winter wonderland.
The materials for this project were simple and easy to find. The ornaments themselves were 3'' clear plastic balls, while the snowflakes were meticulously cut out from white and silver paper using snowflake paper punches in various sizes. To add an extra dash of glamour, Extreme Glitter Mod Podge was used throughout the process.
The creation process began with the coating of the ornaments. A thin layer of Mod Podge was applied to the ornaments, and once dry, they were ready to be adorned with the snowflakes. To ensure a smooth process, a pipe cleaner was attached to the hook of the ornament, making it easier to handle during the gluing process and for hanging the ornament to dry.
As each snowflake was carefully placed onto the coated ornament, more Mod Podge was added over it. This ensured that the snowflakes were securely attached and that the glitter in the ornaments would catch the lights beautifully. The girls were initially concerned that the glue would cover the snowflakes, but they were assured that it would dry clear.
Once all the snowflakes were in place and the Mod Podge had dried, the ornaments looked pretty and sparkly. The girls loved their finished snowflake ornaments, their shimmering beauty a testament to their hard work and creativity.
It's worth noting that while these ornaments can be fillable, in this process, they were glued shut to ensure the snowflakes remained secure. Baby wipes and paper towels were handy during the process, helping to handle the stickiness that comes with working with Mod Podge.
The glitter snowflake ornaments were created by the company Efco, as listed among the manufacturers of Styrofoam figures for crafting on the website bastelstube-michaelis.de. This project is a great example of how a little bit of creativity, some simple materials, and a bit of glue can result in a beautifully shimmering winter decoration.
