In an exciting development, our company has launched Minecraft Coding Courses tailored for kids aged 9-11, requiring no prior coding experience. These courses aim to introduce children to the world of coding and mod development, making learning both enjoyable and rewarding.

The journey begins with the use of Gradle, a build automation tool, to create a project folder for the Minecraft mod. Gradle simplifies the process by managing dependencies, compiling the code, and packaging the mod automatically. Once the Gradle project is set up, the generated project folder is imported into an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) like IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse.

The mod creation process continues with the writing of Java code, editing of JSON files for configurations, and managing resources (textures, sounds, etc.) in resource pack folders. The mod's logic is written in Java, ensuring a solid foundation in the programming language.

Once the mod is ready, it is compiled into a .jar file and placed in the mods folder inside the Minecraft directory. Minecraft Forge, a popular mod development platform, looks for custom mods in this folder, and the mod can be run by double-clicking the Minecraft launcher configured to use the Minecraft Forge profile.

These expert-led, kid-friendly courses teach kids how to make their own Forge mods, customise their Minecraft world, and become real mod developers. In the process, they boost their creativity, self-esteem, and digital skills.

To start your coding adventure, you'll need Minecraft Java Edition, the Minecraft Forge mod development kit, a Java-compatible IDE like IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse, a computer with a reliable internet connection, and a basic curiosity and willingness to learn.

Join us at our Minecraft Camp and embark on a journey that combines creativity, coding, and problem-solving. With around 80% of Minecraft users having used coding to enhance their learning experience, it's clear that Minecraft opens up a world of opportunities for young coders. Let's get started!
