SV Elversberg Signs International Defender Nicholas Mickelson

SV Elversberg has bolstered their squad with the addition of Norwegian-Thai defender Nicholas Mickelson, who has joined the German club from Danish side Odense BK.

Mickelson, who holds dual citizenship, began his career in Norway with HamKam before moving to Strømsgodset IF, where he made 29 appearances in the Norwegian Eliteserien. In late 2021, he moved to Denmark, joining Odense BK and making a total of 102 appearances in all competitions, helping the club secure an immediate return to the Danish Superliga after a brief relegation.

Sporting director Ole Book of SV Elversberg is confident that Mickelson will strengthen their team, praising him as a consistent defender who can contribute offensively.

Mickelson, who has represented Norway and Thailand at various youth levels and has been a regular for the Thai national team since 2023, is excited about the prospect of meeting his new teammates at SV Elversberg. He did not mention any specific goals for the upcoming season but expressed his readiness to give his all for the club.

The versatile defender's ability on the left side provides additional options for SV Elversberg, but Mickelson did not provide any comments on the style of play or tactics he anticipates at the club. He also did not discuss any personal reasons for choosing to join SV Elversberg.

Mickelson has signed a contract with SV Elversberg until the summer of 2027, and he is looking forward to his new challenge in Germany. He did not express any specific expectations for his performance or impact at the club but is ready to make a positive contribution to the team.
