Yakutia, a region known for its harsh cold climate, is experiencing a surge in construction material mining activities, with the extraction of sand, construction stone, gravel, and crushed stone primarily taking place in Yakutsk, Lensk, and Megino-Kangalassky districts.

This development is expected to significantly support infrastructure growth in the region. According to Maxim Tereщенko, Minister of Industry and Geology of Yakutia, the revenue from taxes and state duties on the operation of construction quarries contributes significantly to Yakutia's economy. Last year alone, the republic earned over 370 million rubles in taxes from the operation of construction quarries.

To attract more companies to participate in these infrastructure projects, the process for applications has been streamlined. Applications for participation in auctions are now considered in just 7 days, down from 45 days. Moreover, the switch to electronic applications and faster processing times may further attract more companies.

Maxim Tereщенko stated that all state services are now online, aiming to reduce bureaucratic burdens. Companies in Yakutia submit applications for these projects through the state services portal and the personal cabinet of the non-resource user.

The increased number of licenses issued suggests a growing interest in Yakutia's mineral resources for construction materials. In the first four months of this year, Yakutia has extracted nearly 40 sites worth of construction materials for infrastructure projects. Of the 94 licenses issued, 38 are for exploration and extraction of minerals, and 52 are for geological exploration. The total amount of paid state duty has already reached close to 1 million rubles.

The extracted materials are in high demand for road construction, new microdistricts, and social facilities. However, as of now, there are no available search results specifying which companies extracted what types and quantities of building materials for infrastructure projects in the Republic of Yakutia from January to April this year.

The Minister's press service reported these developments, stating that the licenses for exploration and extraction of minerals are part of the ongoing infrastructure projects in Yakutia. With the switch to electronic applications and faster processing times, the region is well-positioned to attract more companies to contribute to its infrastructure development.
