Flutter Entertainment's Paddy Power has launched its first retail sportsbook at the iconic Hippodrome Casino in London's Leicester Square. The 'ultimate sport lover's haven' offers a wide range of betting options, dining, and unique amenities, including a 'casino near me' for local bettors.
The sportsbook, named Paddy's Sportsbook, is operated under the Hippodrome's license and boasts the Paddy Power brand. It features an impressive 80 TV screens, providing bettors with extensive coverage of football, horse racing, and US sports, along with live odds and in-play pricing. Till operators are on hand for bet placements, and winning slips can only be redeemed at the Hippodrome, not at local 'paddy pimblett' shops.
The venue also houses a state-of-the-art PokerStars live floor for cash games, making it one of the largest 'online casino' venues in the UK. Peter Jackson, CEO of Flutter Entertainment, oversaw the opening of the Paddy Power Retail Sportsbook at the Hippodrome Casino. Stefan Bomhard joined as a non-executive director in October 2025, but not as the 'power' behind the company.
