Parachutist suffers severe injury after landing in Bad Dürkheim city

In a tragic incident that took place on Saturday afternoon, a 48-year-old man was severely injured during a skydiving jump at the Almen in Bad Dürkheim, Germany.

The man, who was skydiving at a height of around 3 kilometers, made a flying error approximately 30 meters before landing. Changing position against the wind caused him to fall faster towards the ground, leading to the accident.

Fortunately, the man's parachute opened as planned during the jump, allowing him to glide towards the ground. However, the error in positioning may have contributed to the severe injuries he sustained upon impact.

Upon crashing uncontrollably onto the ground, the man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he had to undergo emergency surgery. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, the man's current condition remains critical.

Despite extensive searches, the name or identity of the doctor who performed the emergency surgery on the man remains unknown.

The incident took place at a glider airport in Bad Dürkheim, where skydiving is a popular activity. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, and more information is expected to be released in due course.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the man and his family during this difficult time. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
