Ayvens and BYD Partner to Boost Eco-Friendly Lease Fleets in Europe
In a significant move to accelerate the growth of New Energy Vehicle (NEV) markets in Europe, Ayvens and BYD have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Shenzhen, China. The partnership aims to offer diverse, accessible, and appealing products with pioneering innovation to incentivize the advancement of eco-friendly lease fleets.
BYD, the world's leading manufacturer of NEVs, has sold over 7.6 million vehicles in this category. Ayvens, a leading provider of white-label full-service leasing, will now have access to a wide range of electric passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) from BYD, which will be delivered to their customers across Europe.
The collaboration between Ayvens and BYD extends beyond the delivery of vehicles. Both companies will engage in training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives to improve EVs and battery technology. This joint effort is expected to further innovate around electric vehicles and battery technology, contributing to the development of the NEV market in Europe.
Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD, commented on the partnership, stating that it aims to accelerate the development of New Energy Vehicle markets in Europe. Tim Albertsen, Group CEO of Ayvens, also expressed his excitement about the partnership, highlighting the potential for tailored solutions for BYD EVs, including operational lease offers and end-to-end charging services to international and local corporate clients in Europe.
The partnership will initially be available in France and the Benelux countries, with plans for expansion to other European markets. Ayvens' SME and private customers will be able to access these services via the BYD dealer network.
BYD's European division has been expanding its relationships with major fleet suppliers in Europe. This partnership with Ayvens is another step in this direction, with both companies exploring other opportunities within retail, further developing white-label operational lease cooperation.
In February, BYD signed a similar MoU with Arval, suggesting a strategic focus on the European market. This partnership with Ayvens is expected to further boost BYD's presence and influence in Europe's growing NEV market.
