Party-oriented audio enthusiasts rejoice: Samsung has unveiled a new installation – the Sound Tower Speaker, designed specifically for energetic gatherings.
New Samsung Sound Tower Speakers Debut at IFA 2025
Samsung has entered the party speaker market with its latest offering, the Sound Tower speakers. The new devices, which include the ST50F and ST40F models, are set to launch this month, according to the tech giant.
The Sound Tower speakers are designed with a focus on delivering a more tailored sound experience for various purposes. Samsung claims that the speakers have a redesigned acoustic structure, promising deeper bass and a wider soundstage. However, it's worth noting that the ability to deliver these features can't be confirmed without hearing the speakers.
The Sound Tower ST50F boasts 6.5-inch dual woofers and 1-inch dual dome tweeters, while the ST40F features 5.25-inch woofers and 3/4-inch tweeters. Both models are Bluetooth-enabled and offer four modes: standard, wide, stadium, and outdoor.
In addition to their audio capabilities, the Sound Tower speakers come with customizable lights. The lighting system reacts in real time and shifts to specific tunes, offering five "mood" presets and six "dynamic lighting patterns." Users can also customize and tweak the lights using the Samsung Sound Tower App.
The Sound Tower speakers are battery-powered and designed for high volume output. They join JBL's PartyBox 720 in the market. The ST50F offers 18 hours of battery life, while the ST40F provides 12 hours. The speakers also come equipped with a grip and wheels for easy transportation.
The Sound Tower ST40F was developed by Samsung and is officially available starting October 2024 in Malaysia, with availability in Australia expected in 2026. The Sound Tower ST50F is priced at $699, while the ST40F retails for $499 at launch. The prices reflect the differences in their output and battery life.
The Sound Tower speakers are aimed at catering to the demographic of party people, offering a blend of powerful sound, customizable lights, and portability. With their launch, Samsung is making a strong entry into the party speaker space.
