Partygoers marked the ball night with 150 attendees in a joyous celebration.
The Moorburg Royal Ball, a prestigious annual event, was held this year in honour of King Hans-Georg Wente. The ball was held at the Neugraben-Scheideholz Shooting Club, a fitting location for the festivities.
At the event, guests were entertained by DJ Boerschi, known for his lively sets. The main attraction of the evening was the tombola, themed "every ticket wins". Every participant had a chance to win a prize, with the main prize donated by King Hans-Georg Wente and his wife.
The tombola was a highlight of the evening, and guests could personalise their "losing" tickets, adding a unique touch to the event. The winning ticket for the main prize was drawn by Queen Gabriela Wente, adding a touch of royal charm to the proceedings.
The shooting competitions were also a significant part of the ball. Tjorben Haumann was crowned the Junior Shooter King in Moorburg, while Peter Wondruchka, the King of the Fischbek Shooting Club, also held the title of the current city shooting king of Harburg. The Shooting Queen from the Fischbeker Schützenverein was Nicole Kegel-Behr, who was proclaimed alongside her adjutant team.
The Moorburg Shooting and Folk Festival is scheduled from August 2nd to 4th, providing another opportunity for shooting enthusiasts to compete and celebrate. The festival will also crown the Queen, Vice-Queen, Vice-King, and King of Junior Shooters in Moorburg.
Thorsten von Boden is the King of the Neugraben-Scheideholz Shooting Club, while Ulf Schröder holds the same title for the Harburger Shooting Guild. Sarah Moysen is the Shooting Queen from the Heimfelder Shooting Club, and Alfred Laye is the South Elbe King.
The Moorburg Royal Ball was a grand celebration, bringing together the shooting community and royalty in a festive atmosphere. The event was a testament to the spirit of camaraderie and competition that defines the shooting sports in Moorburg.
