Stoke City Eyeing Double Signees and Prepare for Season Opener

Stoke City are making moves in the transfer market, with reports suggesting they are close to securing a permanent deal for Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi, and also working on a loan deal for Barcelona forward Bojan.

Assaidi, who spent last season on loan with Stoke City under Mark Hughes' management, made twenty-five appearances in all competitions and scored five goals, including a dramatic last-minute winner in a 3-2 victory over Chelsea at the Britannia Stadium. The Mirror reports that Stoke City are close to finalising a permanent deal for the Moroccan international.

Meanwhile, Bojan, who spent last season on loan with Ajax, could be joining the Potters on loan. The current status of negotiations between Stoke City and Assaidi for a permanent contract is not publicly disclosed.

As the 2014/15 campaign approaches, Stoke City are gearing up for their first match of the season against Aston Villa next month. The Potters can be backed at a price of 11/10 to win this opening fixture, according to the latest odds.

Nathan Redmond, an England U21 international currently playing for Norwich City, is another player Stoke City are reportedly interested in signing.

Looking back at last season, Assaidi's loan spell with Stoke City was a successful one. During Brendan Rodgers' first season in charge of Liverpool, Assaidi made just four substitute appearances in the Premier League. However, under Hughes' management at Stoke City, he found more opportunities and made a significant impact.

The Potters' first match of the new season promises to be an exciting one, and fans are eagerly awaiting the team's new signings. The odds are subject to change and may vary among different bookmakers, but Stoke City fans can be optimistic about their team's chances in the upcoming season.
