This updated version of the popular smart home hub comes equipped with the MotionAware feature, transforming Philips Hue smart lights into motion-sensing surveillance machines.
The Hue Bridge Pro, priced at $99, is now available for purchase. One of its key features is its ability to run the algorithms necessary for the MotionAware function. This means that nearly all existing Hue smart lamps can now respond to motion and activate automatically.
MotionAware uses three to four lights in the same room to detect movement, eliminating the need for a new bulb. When motion is detected, lights can be configured to flash red, serving as an alert. All motion data is kept locally on the Hue Bridge Pro, ensuring privacy and security.
