Phone Fraud Investigation in Baden-Baden, Poland by Police Department
A fraud scheme targeting an employee of a supermarket chain in Baden-Baden has come to light. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM on Monday.
The fraudster, who remains unknown, contacted the employee claiming to be an employee of the store. The unknown caller instructed the employee to swipe seven Apple gift cards and four personal EC cards through the cash register.
Following the instructions, the employee complied, resulting in a total damage of 2,600 euros. The fraud scheme involved the use of Apple gift cards and an online trading platform.
