The European Mobility Week, an annual campaign organized by the European Commission, is making its return to the district of Wesel for the third consecutive year. This year's events will take place from September 16th to 22nd, promoting sustainable mobility and road safety across Europe.

The Mobility Day in Rheinberg offers visitors a chance to learn about various aspects of sustainable mobility. The hands-on exhibition and picture book cinema in Dinslaken provide educational and entertaining experiences for all ages. The Ampel quiz in Voerde tests participants' knowledge about traffic lights and road safety. The Rollator Day in Moers-Utfort is organised by the city of Moers and focuses on mobility for the elderly and disabled.
The "Keep Your Distance!" action is a district-wide reminder for car drivers to maintain a safe distance when overtaking cyclists, emphasising the importance of sharing the road and promoting a safe and respectful driving culture.
In addition to these events, World Children's Day, which falls within the European Mobility Week, offers a special treat for children under 15. On September 20th, 2025, they can travel for free on buses and trains throughout North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).
