In an ongoing investigation, the Criminal Investigation Department 32 has launched an inquiry into a recent burglary and theft incident that occurred near a train station street in an unspecified city.
The perpetrators, described as two men aged between 30 and 40, made off with a significant amount of cash from a couple's apartment. The duo, who were wearing work clothes with yellow lettering, gained entry under the pretext of reading the meter.
One of the men, approximately 1.80 to 1.90 meters tall, has dark hair, dark eyes, and a dark beard, while the other, of unspecified height, sports dark eyes and a dark mustache. The older of the two suspects is estimated to be around 95 years old.
The duo fled the scene in a black car and drove off in an unknown direction. The incident, which took place in Cologne, specifically at the Cologne Cathedral ("Kölner Dom") in 1996, also involved the theft of a silver processional cross from the cathedral's treasury.
