The Ice Bears faced a tough defeat against the GC Kusnacht Lions in their recent test match, with the final score reading 2:5. The game was a closely contested affair, but the Lions managed to pull ahead in the end.

The Ice Bears started off on the back foot, trailing 3:1 by the end of the first period. The Lions' first goal came at the 8:01-minute mark, courtesy of Jan Spring. David Morley scored the Ice Bears' first goal just three minutes later, but the Lions responded quickly with a goal from Timo Bünzli at 15:32 minutes. Marvin Rötheli extended the Lions' lead at 19:06 minutes, leaving the Ice Bears struggling to catch up.

In the second period, the Ice Bears had numerous opportunities to score, with chances at 23:30 and 28:40 minutes going unfilled. The Lions, however, made the most of theirs, with Villiam Haag scoring at 34:27 minutes to increase their lead to 4:1.

The Ice Bears rallied back with a goal from Consti Ontl at 35:38 minutes, making the score 4:2. The goal was set up by a play involving Patrick Demetz and Pascal Aquin, who played Ontl free in front of the goal.

Despite the comeback, the Ice Bears were unable to score again, and the Lions added another goal at the 39:27-minute mark, courtesy of another Villiam Haag strike. The Lions held on to their lead until the final whistle, securing a 5:2 victory.

The Ice Bears will look to bounce back when they face the Ravensburg Towerstars in their next test match, which is scheduled for Sunday at 5 pm. Coach Peter Flache kept lines together in the match against the Lions, with Donat Peter, Consti Ontl, and Pascal Aquin forming line three, Aleandro Angaran, Kevin Slezak, and Matej Giesl making up line four, and Yuma Grimm replacing Corey Trivino in the second line. The coach of the Ravensburg Towerstars is Bo.

The Ice Bears will be hoping for a better performance in their upcoming match, as they look to climb up the rankings and improve their form ahead of the playoffs.
